Team Yemen : dissemination of STEM methodology
The idea of "STEM" arose from observing the extent to which educational materials overlap and interrelate with each other. “STEM” is an abbreviation of four words “Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics.” It is an educational system based on research, thinking, problem solving and learning through projects through which the student applies what he learns in science, mathematics and engineering using technology.
STEM programs provide a space in which science, mathematics and technology mix, which encourages play, exploration and cooperation with others, demonstrating artistic and scientific skills and talents that encourage children and young people to learn, explore, learn about natural and technical phenomena, and deal skillfully with tools and materials through which they present their renewed ideas in a work environment characterized by creativity in all its aspects.
Team Poland : Cyber Security
What is cyber security
A successful cybersecurity approach has multiple layers of protection spread across the computers, networks, programs, or data that one wishes to preserve. People, processes, and technology must complement each other within the organization to create an effective defense against cyber attacks A unified threat management system can automate integrations across selected Cisco Security products and accelerate key security process functions: detection, investigation, and remediation.
Why is cyber security so important?
In today's connected world, everyone benefits from advanced cyber defense software. On an individual level, a cybersecurity attack can result in many things, from identity theft to extortion attempts to the loss of important data such as family photos. Everyone depends on vital infrastructure such as power plants, hospitals, and financial services companies. Securing these and other institutions is essential to maintaining the functioning of our community.
Everyone also benefits from the work of researchers in the field of cyber threats, such as Talos' team of 250 researchers, who investigate new and emerging threats and cyber attack strategies. They work to expose new vulnerabilities, educate the public about the importance of cybersecurity, and support open source tools. Their efforts make the internet a safer place for everyone.
Team Yemen prepares tutorials for the dissemination of STEM, while Team Poland is working on cybersecurity. The two teams joined forces to work together on the “STEM Education Platform with Cyber Security” project
